A contract was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science and Kostinbrod Municipality for the implementation of the project.
The center will provide rehabilitation and psychological support for children and adolescents after severe treatment with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Their families will also receive support, for whom the treatment period is also extremely difficult.
The funds are allocated under a project of the program "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups" administered by the Ministry of Education and Science, which is financed by the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
The project activities also include the development of a national methodology for integrated psychological and social services by the specialists working in the center, as well as the preparation of a training program for the staff that will provide rehabilitation care.
